CRYENGINE ENVIRONMENT

The bridge seems to undulate similarly to the surrounding landscape
and shape the two headquarters. The building towers over the area
without isolating itself. The bridge itself appears seamless...

The meeting place displays characteristics of the bridge and is
found at ground level so as not to distance it from the surroundings.

These images show the similarity between the elevators and
their repective headquarters whilst the meeting place acts as
a framework for one particular shot that looks spectacular!

These two images are snippits of each headquarters as seen
underwater in the river that travles underneath and around the
bridge. This highlights the structure coinciding with nature whilst
also standing out from the landscape and dominating the area.

These two images show the awesome view of the bridge and
adjacent Coca Cola headquarters from tree-height on next to
the Facebook headquarters. The glow of the building's windows
intensifies the impact of the flowing robust bridge design.

The bridge coincides with the landscape seamlessly, but
still maintains dominance over the surrounding
area - highlighting the theme of power.

These images reveal the perspective a person would have
from different aspects of the environment. The shear size
of the bridge is made clear.

SKETCH-UP MODEL DESIGNS

THE BRIDGE

I tried to mimic the flow of the valley whilst incoporating aspects that
would represent the power of each company. The global recognition
both Facebook and Coca Cola have received is apparent in the
large-scale designs, heavily incoporating spherical shapes in the
design to convey their global appeal.

The aim was to incorporate the bridge throughout the design
of the two corporate headquarters as much as possible to
emphasise the notion that the bridge itself is a part (basis) of
the designs. Unification gives a strong sense of power, a
theme resonating throughout the overall design.

The Coca Cola Headquarters consists of many flat levels that
together create spheres that are encased by an outer layer of glass.
These different spheres represented a synegy of ideas over time,
that have shaped the identity of the company without changing the
core values and goals the company set out to acheive originally.

Facebook is a dominating social media outlet used by billions
around the world. My design reflects their global dominance
through the overall shape of the building reflecting a huge
power reaching out all over the world. This is further reflected
in its unique connection with the bridge which acts as an arm
attatching itself to the building and seems to gain strength
from it - indicating the powersource that is Facebook...

MEETING PLACE

The meeting place needed to reflect the key theme of power
portrayed in the bridge's design, whilst also meeting the
requirements of the brief. This design is both spacious and
functional allowing for the elevators and large table to house
discussion between representatives from both companies.

The colour scheme coincides with the colour scheme
of the bridge whilst the grand stairs leading to the centre
of the area, where the table is, delivers another aspect
of powerful influence.

The table delivers sharp and precise lines with a strong
framework that demands attention and funnels movement
from the stairs to the centre of the area - the table.

ELEVATOR - FACEBOOK

The elevator for facebook incorporated a unique design that
begins taking the shape of a sphere before elegantly opening
to allow entry onto a glowing blue lift floor. The attraction
of the elevator is the way it opens to mimic the shape of the
entry-way of the facebook headquarters...

The opening in the circular cross-sections (gaps) allow the
occupants to view outside. The entry to the elevator symbolises
dominance through its size and movement.

ELEVATOR - COCA COLA

The simplicity of the Coca Cola design does not detract from its impact.
The circular levels that make up the top and bottom of the elevator
coincides with the design of the headquarter's levels.

The revolving walls circulating around the perimeter of the elevator
is the main attraction of the design, whilst the colour scheme reflects
that of the headquarters. The notion of stone-like materials floating
in space is a powerful illustration that reflects the attributes of the company.
